Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni or small shell macaroni
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 head cabbage

Instructions

  1. Brown meat, onion and garlic in large cast-iron skillet. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Add cabbage.
  4. Cook until tender.
  5. Cover while cooking this mixture.
  6. This is a one-pan dinner.
  7. Cook macaroni according to directions.
  8. Add to pan and mix thoroughly.
  9. Serve while still hot.
