Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 10 oz. bag pecan halves
  • 12 oz. bag milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and brown sugar to 308°F on a candy thermometer (hard crack stage) over medium heat.
  2. Pour the caramel layer over pecans that are placed in a single layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top; spread as they melt to cover the caramel layer.
  4. Allow to cool for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Flip out of the pan and break into pieces.
