Smokey Salmon Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 3/4 oz.) can or 2 (7 1/2 oz.) cans salmon
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dill weed
  • 1/4 c. thinly sliced green onions
  • 3 to 4 drops natural hickory liquid smoke
  • crackers or French bread rounds

Instructions

  1. Drain salmon.
  2. Beat cream cheese with lemon juice, milk and dill weed in mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in salmon and green onions until thoroughly combined.
  4. Season with liquid smoke to taste.
  5. Chill several hours before serving to allow flavors to blend.
  6. To serve, spread on crackers and French bread round. Makes 25 servings, about 3 1/2 cups.
