Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar together, then add eggs and beat well.
  2. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; mix well.
  3. Shape the dough into balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  4. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
