Ingredients

  • 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes, diced with juice
  • 2 (4 to 6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • garlic to taste
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the additional tomato sauce in a saucepan and cook until thickened.
  2. Add 12 ounces of tomato sauce to the mixture.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 20 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
