Spice Ball

Ingredients

  • 1 styrofoam ball, 3 to 4-inches in diameter
  • white glue
  • whole cloves
  • whole anise seed
  • whole poppy seed
  • whole celery seed
  • whole caraway seed
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground paprika
  • ground mustard
  • curry powder
  • 1 sprig plastic holly or pine

Instructions

  1. With a pencil or crayon, mark styrofoam ball into 8 equal sections.
  2. Along these lines, insert whole cloves to outline the sections.
  3. Cover one section at a time with white glue, then sprinkle with one of the spices until styrofoam is completely covered.
  4. Alternate sections of whole and ground spices.
  5. Let the ball dry, then decorate with a sprig of holly or pine.
  6. Make a loop of the ribbon and pin it to the ball so it can be hung.
