Ingredients

  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast the pecans in the oven.
  2. Combine vanilla, cinnamon, salt, sugar, and water in a saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring, cooking until it reaches the soft ball stage.
  4. Add the toasted pecans to the saucepan.
  5. Stir until the pecans are coated with the syrup.
  6. Spread the glazed pecans on waxed paper to cool.
  7. Separate the pecans into individual pieces as they cool.
