- Spread the ready-to-spread chocolate frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
- Use black paste food coloring to tint some of the frosting for decorating, if desired.
- Create spider legs by cutting 8 black chenille pipe cleaners into 12-inch lengths.
- Arrange the pipe cleaners on top of the cake to resemble spider legs, attaching them with frosting if needed.
- Place the plastic cat eyes on the top of the cake for the spider's eyes.
- Use red ready-to-pipe gel to create a mouth or other spooky details on the cake.
- Insert half a pair of vampire teeth into the frosting for a creepy effect, if desired.
