Spinach Bread With Sausage

A savory spinach and sausage bread filled with seasoned potatoes and spinach, perfect for hearty breakfasts, brunches, or casual gatherings with bold flavors and satisfying textures.

Ingredients

  • 1 recipe white bread dough or frozen, thawed
  • 2 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen spinach, thawed and thoroughly drained
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and diced
  • 4 or 5 sweet Italian sausages
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder or 2 to 3 cloves, crushed
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Remove casing from sausages and brown and crumble in a frying pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients (except for dough) in a bowl. If mixture seems dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  3. Roll out the bread dough and spread the mixture evenly over it.
  4. Roll up the dough to enclose the filling and seal the edges.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
