Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 Tbs. orange rind
  • or
  • 2 Tsp. lemon rind
  • 2 eggs separated
  • 3-4 Tbs. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar butter and rind. Add egg yolks and cream. Alternately add flour and liquid. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Pour into a buttered 8x8 inch dish. Put cake pan in 1" water bath.
  2. Bake 350 for 54 min.
