- Mix the dry yeast with very warm water until dissolved.
- Melt the oleo (butter) and add it to the yeast mixture.
- Add sugar and egg to the mixture.
- Gradually add self-rising flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix thoroughly, optionally using a mixer for convenience.
- Transfer the dough to a large airtight container.
- Refrigerate the dough and let it rest overnight or for several days.
- Bake the rolls at 400°F (200°C) until golden brown.
