Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. very lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, milk, minced onion, salt, and pepper well and set aside.
  2. Toast 5 or 6 slices of bread in the broiler until golden.
  3. Spread a little butter and prepared mustard on one side of each toast.
  4. Evenly spread the meat mixture over the buttered side of each toast, ensuring the meat reaches the edges.
  5. Broil the assembled sandwiches just until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and flavorful.
