Ingredients

  • 2 qt. strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 1/2 to 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pt. vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 Tbsp. Cointreau or other orange-flavored liqueur
  • whole strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the strawberries with sugar and set aside.
  2. Slightly whip the vanilla ice cream.
  3. Fold in the heavy cream and Cointreau.
  4. Fold in the sugared strawberries.
  5. Serve in dessert dishes.
  6. Garnish each dish with a whole, fresh strawberry and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
  7. Serve immediately.
