Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 pound frozen puff pastry, thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place thawed puff pastry on a sugar-sprinkled chopping board.
  3. Sprinkle the pastry with 1 tablespoon sugar and finely chopped pecans.
  4. Roll pastry into a 12 x 6-inch rectangle, adding more sugar to keep it coated.
  5. Cut the rectangle crosswise into 1/4-inch thick strips.
  6. Twist each strip and arrange them on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Press the ends of the strips to prevent untwisting.
  8. Bake in the middle of the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Crisps can be made up to two days in advance and stored in airtight containers.
