Ingredients

  • 3 c. sifted flour (plain)
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2/3 c. melted butter
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 eggs, separated

Instructions

  1. Using electric mixer, beat egg yolks 1 minute.
  2. Add milk and beat 1 minute longer.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients at low speed and beat 1 minute.
  4. Add the melted butter and beat until blended.
  5. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  6. Use 1 1/2 cups of batter to fill grids once.
  7. Pour batter in center and spread evenly to fill all 4 corners.
  8. Makes three 4 section waffles.
