Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 medium yams
  • 1 to 1.5 cups vegetable oil
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and wash the yams.
  2. Slice the yams as thin as possible, the thinner, the better.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan until very hot.
  4. Place the yam slices in the hot oil until they turn golden brown.
  5. Remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Sprinkle salt to taste and serve.
