Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rice, rinsed
  • 1 cup orzo, Rosa Marina
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • water

Instructions

  1. Fry the orzo in butter until it is lightly browned.
  2. Add the rinsed rice; fry a little longer until the rice is glazed.
  3. Add cold water to cover the rice by one inch.
  4. Bring to a slow boil, then cover with a lid and simmer on very low heat.
  5. Gently fold the rice over and cook a little longer until the rice is cooked through.
