Tender Spare Ribs

Ingredients

  • 350 grams Pork spare ribs
  • 1 Water
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup

Instructions

  1. Heat up a frying pan and cook the spare ribs on both sides until lightly browned.
  2. Transfer the spare ribs to the pressure cooker.
  3. Add water - about half the amount of the meat.
  4. Bring to a boil over high heat, and skim off the scum.
  5. Add the ingredients, put the lid on and cook over high heat until it comes up to pressure.
  6. Turn down the heat to low and cook under pressure for 20 minutes.
  7. Turn the heat off and leave until the pressure comes down.
  8. Take the lid off, and cook to reduce the sauce.
  9. Add the grainy mustard, mix and it's done.
  10. The spare ribs are very tender, so be careful when you're transferring them to serving plates.
