Tex-Mex 5-Layer Dip
Ingredients
- 1 can vegetarian refried beans ⓘ
- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained ⓘ
- 1 16 oz. container sour cream ⓘ
- 1 package favorite taco seasoning mix ⓘ
- 8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ea: sliced black olives, thinly sliced scallions, chopped tomato, and chopped cilantro ⓘ
- Blue corn and yellow corn tortilla chips for dipping.
Instructions
- In small bowl toss together the vegetables and cilantro. In second small bowl stir together the sour cream and seasoning mix. Begin layering - I use a pie plate - start with the refried beans, spread evenly, then add the rest in the following order: black beans, sour cream mixture, cheese, and end with the vegetable/cilantro combination. Serve with the tortilla chips.
