Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. stewing beef
  • 2 cans undiluted cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup dry vermouth

Instructions

  1. Cover the beef with one can of drained mushrooms in a baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the beef and mushrooms.
  3. Pour the undiluted cream of mushroom soup and dry vermouth over the mixture.
  4. Cover with foil or a lid and bake at 325°F for 3 hours.
  5. Serve the stew over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
