Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring sugar, salt, butter, and water to a boil and continue until hard crack or 300°F on a candy thermometer.
- Add walnuts and stir constantly to prevent scorching.
- Lightly grease a cookie sheet 15 x 10 x 3/4 inches.
- Melt candy bars.
- Spread the toffee mixture on the prepared cookie sheet and allow it to cool.
- Spread the melted chocolate bars on top of the cooled toffee and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Cool completely and break into pieces.
