Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can peas, drained
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Divide beef into 4 patties and brown on both sides.
  2. Put browned beef patties in large skillet or pot with tight-fitting lid.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on beef.
  4. Peel potatoes and slice in 2 pieces.
  5. Slice onion in 4 slices.
  6. On each beef patty, place 1 slice onion and 1 piece of potato.
  7. Pour drained peas over this. Combine tomato soup and water.
  8. Pour over top of mixture.
  9. Simmer for 45 minutes until potatoes are done.
