Ingredients

  • ladyfingers or sponge cake
  • jam (flavor of choice)
  • Jell-O (flavor of choice)
  • canned or fresh fruit
  • custard

Instructions

  1. Break up the sponge cake or ladyfingers and spread with jam. Place in the bottom of glass dish (large).
  2. Arrange fruit on top of sponge cake; set aside.
  3. Make Jell-O; allow to cool a little, not yet firm, then spoon gently over sponge cake so that the Jell-O penetrates the sponge cake.
  4. Put dish into the refrigerator; Jell-O needs to be set firm.
  5. Meanwhile, make custard; allow to cool but not set, then spoon over the already set Jell-O.
  6. Just before serving, spoon over the set custard the La Creme or whipped cream and decorate.
