Undercover Sweet Corn

Sweet corn wrapped in husks with a cheesy, buttery spread creates a smoky, flavorful dish perfect for outdoor gatherings or summer barbecues.

Ingredients

  • 6 large ears corn with husks
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 pkg. cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel husks back, but do not remove from ears.
  2. Remove silk from the corn.
  3. Soak ears with husks in cold water for 20 minutes.
  4. Mix margarine and cream cheese together.
  5. Dry the surface of the kernels and spread the cheese mixture on top.
  6. Salt and pepper the corn as desired.
  7. Close the husks over the ears and wrap each in foil individually.
  8. Place in a preheated oven on low heat.
  9. Turn the ears every 5 minutes during cooking.
  10. Check for doneness after 30 minutes. The flavor will be unusual; try it!
