Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • grated rind of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cream the Crisco and sugar together. Add the eggs.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk and grated lemon rind.
  3. Bake in loaf pan or tube cake pan at 325° for 50 or 60 minutes.
  4. Top with the glaze.
