Walnut Sherry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. sherry (or any other liquid)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Blend at low speed, then beat at high speed for 3 minutes.
  3. Pour half of the batter into well-greased and lightly floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Cover with half of topping.
  5. Spread the other half of batter.
  6. Sprinkle and cover with other half of topping.
  7. Bake 40 minutes at 350°.
