Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Combine egg yolks, milk and oil; stir into dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in beaten egg whites and vanilla extract, leaving a few fluffs.
  4. Pour into hot waffle iron. Waffles are done when they are crisp on the outside.
  5. Serve with warmed maple syrup.
