Western Winter Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. corn oil
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 3 c. pimiento-stuffed olives

Instructions

  1. Core, rinse and drain lettuce; chill.
  2. Combine sour cream, oil, vinegar, onion, sugar, salt and thyme.
  3. Chill if you wish. Cut olives into halves; tear lettuce into bite size pieces (5 cups).
  4. Core and dice apple; toss with lettuce, olives and cream mixture in salad bowl.
  5. Serve at once.
