  • 1/4 cup white Karo syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar, Karo syrup, and water rapidly until a 6 to 8 inch thread forms.
  2. Beat 2 egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Pour hot syrup into the beaten egg whites, beating constantly until the icing stands in stiff peaks.
  4. Add vanilla and mix well.
