Ingredients

  • 2 lb. glucose (Karo)
  • 2 lb. granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. shaved paraffin
  • butter (size of walnut)
  • 1/2 tsp. gelatin, dissolved in 3 Tbsp. boiling water

Instructions

  1. Start boiling glucose (Karo), granulated sugar, and shaved paraffin in a saucepan.
  2. Once the mixture is boiling, strain the dissolved gelatin through a cloth into the mixture.
  3. Continue to cook until the taffy reaches the desired consistency, then remove from heat.
  4. Pull and flavor the taffy while it is still warm to incorporate air and develop texture.
