Ingredients

  • 4 family-size tea bags
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a 1-gallon pitcher, steep the 4 tea bags in 1 quart of hot water for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 quart of water and 2 cups of sugar over high heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the hot sugar water over the steeped tea in the pitcher.
  4. Steep the tea and sugar mixture for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. Strain out the tea bags.
  6. Add 2 cups of orange juice and 1/2 cup of lemon juice to the pitcher.
  7. Add enough water to make the total volume up to 1 gallon.
