Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup cooked yams, mashed
  • 1/2 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with foil.
  2. Mix cooked, mashed yams with sugar and evaporated milk.
  3. Add pecans and stir to combine.
  4. Pour mixture onto prepared foil-lined cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 300°F for 15 minutes.
  6. Turn off the oven and leave the candy to set for 1 1/2 hours.
