Tips & Substitutions

For a healthier version, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with a homemade version or a different cream soup. To add more flavor, mix in some taco seasoning or diced bell peppers. If you want a little more crunch, try adding chopped green onions on top before serving.

Serving Suggestions

This casserole pairs beautifully with a fresh green salad or some steamed vegetables for a complete meal. You can also serve it with additional toppings like jalapeños or guacamole for added flavor. For a comforting dessert, consider making Double Chocolate Crinkle Tarts to round out the meal.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through, about 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, you can microwave individual portions for about 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until hot.
