Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, cream of tartar and water in double boiler over boiling water.
  2. Beat with mixer 7 minutes or until icing peaks.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Continue beating until it cools.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
