Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except milk and baking powder; remove 1 cup of mixture to be used later.
  2. Mix remaining dough with milk and baking powder (may use less milk).
  3. Dough should be moist but thick.
  4. Spread dough in 2 greased round pans or 1 oblong cake pan.
  5. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over each pan of dough.
  6. Bake 45 minutes at 375°.
  7. When done, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
