3 Fruit Chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 c. cranberries
  • 1 tart apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. snipped dry apricots
  • 1/4 c. water

Instructions

  1. Combine cranberries, apple, apricots, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, allspice, dry mustard, 1/4 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  2. Bring to boiling.
  3. Reduce and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.
  4. Stir frequently.
  5. Spoon into containers.
  6. Cover, seal and refrigerate or freeze.
  7. Makes 2 cups.
  8. Good accompaniment to cold cuts, such as ham, turkey and roast beef.
