Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. all-purpose plain flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt oleo in pot, beat well with sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add flour and cocoa, beat well.
  4. Add chopped nuts. Put in greased and floured pan (size 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch, this is very important).
  5. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool before frosting.
