A charming and savory cold appetizer resembling a miniature igloo, featuring liverwurst, cream cheese, and olives, perfect for festive gatherings or as a unique party dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb liverwurst (Braunsweiger)
  • 1 large package Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1 medium onion (optional)
  • green olives stuffed with pimento
  • mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Soften liverwurst (mash).
  2. Chop onion very fine and mix with liverwurst.
  3. Coat inside of round bowl very thinly with mayonnaise.
  4. Put mixture in bowl and refrigerate until cold.
  5. Soften cream cheese to room temperature.
  6. Remove liverwurst from bowl and put on plate flat-side down.
  7. Cover igloo with cream cheese using a spatula.
  8. Slice olives and press into igloo gently.
