- Combine biscuit mix, milk, and almond extract in a bowl.
- Turn out onto a floured surface and knead gently 8 to 10 strokes.
- Roll dough into a 12 x 7-inch rectangle.
- Spread with softened butter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the dough.
- Roll up the dough starting with the long side, then seal the seam.
- Cut into 1-inch slices.
- Place slices on a greased baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Make a large depression in the center of each with your fingers.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Spoon 1 tablespoon of cherry preserves into the center of each roll.
