Ingredients

  • 1 large orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the orange, lemon, and grapefruit, remove their peels, and cut the peels into thin slices.
  2. Add 1 quart of water to the peel slices and boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain the peels, then add 1 quart of fresh water and boil; repeat this process 3 more times.
  4. Remove seeds and strings from the fruits, then slice the fruits and add them to the boiling peel.
  5. Add twice as much water as the fruit mixture and boil for 40 minutes.
  6. Add an equal amount of sugar as the fruit mixture and continue boiling until the jam is thick and amber-colored, about 25 minutes.
