Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts *
  • 6 c. apples, pared and sliced (Courtland or Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 c. Port wine
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 egg yolk plus 1 tsp. water, beaten
  • sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine

Instructions

  1. *Flour 1 side of bottom crust and place in pie pan, flour side down.
