Apple Sage Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup onions chopped
  • 3 slices bread
  • 1/2 pound apples, granny smith
  • 2 tablespoons parsley leaves fresh
  • 2 tablespoons currants
  • 3/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 18 teaspoon black pepper
  • 13 cup apple juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
  2. Heat oil in small skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Add onion and saute 7 minutes, until tender.
  4. Toast and cube bread.
  5. Cube unpeeled apples.
  6. Chop fresh parsley.
  7. Toss remaining ingredients in large bowl; add onions and stir.
  8. Spoon into 1 1/2 qt casserole coated with cooking spray.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Stir gently and bake another 10 minutes or until top is crisp.
