Ingredients

  • Apples (McIntosh, Dr. Mathews or Jonathans)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 heaping teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Peel apples and slice them.
  2. Put apples and water in a pan and cook about 15 minutes or until tender.
  3. Use a potato masher to mash the apples.
  4. Add sugar, about 1 1/2 cups or to your taste.
  5. Add cinnamon and heat for 5 minutes.
