Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Swans Down self-rising cake flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 square baking chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in melted baking chocolate and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold in the self-rising cake flour and milk until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour batter into prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
