Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 5 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, margarine, and Crisco until blended well.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, until blended.
  3. Add flour alternately with milk, beating constantly.
  4. Add vanilla and stir in.
  5. Place in greased and floured tube pan.
  6. Bake at 300°F for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
  7. Cool thoroughly and remove from pan.
  8. Keep in cake keeper.
  9. May be frozen.
