Ingredients

  • 3 medium onions, quartered
  • 2 lb. stewing beef, cut in chunks
  • 6 carrots, cut up
  • 1 c. cut up celery
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 4 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in tightly covered heavy 5-quart pot. Bake in 300° oven for 5 hours.
  2. Do not open oven at any time.
  3. Do not increase amounts of ingredients.
