Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Italian tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. oil

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in oil.
  2. Stir to break up the meat into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Add chopped onion and green pepper; cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce, whole kernel corn, salt (if using), and Tabasco sauce; simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Cook 2 cups of Minute rice according to package directions.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over the cooked rice.
  7. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  8. Reheat for 3 to 4 minutes in the microwave covered with wax paper or Saran Wrap.
  9. Alternatively, serve over cooked spaghetti if preferred.
