Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • pie pastry

Instructions

  1. Line a pie plate with pastry.
  2. Fry bacon until cooked; chop coarsely.
  3. Put half of the bacon into the pastry shell.
  4. Break eggs into the pastry shell on top of the bacon; eggs may be beaten.
  5. Chop onion and put on top of eggs, along with remaining chopped bacon.
  6. Cover with another pie pastry; glaze with a beaten egg.
  7. Bake in a moderate oven until golden brown.
