Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 8 medium baking apples
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine and spread to coat sides and bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Peel and core the apples.
  3. Soak the apples in water to which lemon juice has been added for 1 hour.
  4. Drain the apples.
  5. Mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and chopped walnuts.
  6. Place the apples in the baking pan.
  7. Cover the apples with the cinnamon sugar walnut mixture.
  8. Bake covered at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.
