Sweet baked apples infused with cinnamon and caramelized sugar, wrapped in pastry for a comforting dessert perfect for family gatherings or holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 package cinnamon discs
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • good baking apples

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar, water, cinnamon discs, and butter to a boil.
  2. Peel and core the apples.
  3. Pour the cinnamon sugar mixture into the center of each apple.
  4. Dot each apple with butter.
  5. Wrap each apple in pie crust dough.
  6. Bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes.
  7. During the last 10 minutes of baking, pour the remaining sugar mixture over and around the apples.
