Instructions
- Bring sugar, water, cinnamon discs, and butter to a boil.
- Peel and core the apples.
- Pour the cinnamon sugar mixture into the center of each apple.
- Dot each apple with butter.
- Wrap each apple in pie crust dough.
- Bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes.
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, pour the remaining sugar mixture over and around the apples.
